Its alive!
I can feel it kick! And by saying that I really mean I can feel her kick! Poor baby is going to be in for a hard time if it’s a boy. I’m so convinced it’s a girl. Anyway I thought I could feel it about 5 days ago while lying in bed. It was a funny little bubble feeling that I just didn’t think was gas (even though it could have easily been gas thanks to that joy of pregnancy). It didn’t rumble and move along my intestines. Just a bubble and then nothing. Every night since then I’d lie in bed quietly and wait for the bubble. I finally was sure enough on Saturday night to tell Nick who really really wants to feel it too but He’ll have to wait a little longer for that. So at 16 weeks I’m positive that I can feel its little kicks. That was exciting this morning but now just really distracting. I’m sure I’ll get used to it – its just that’s its the first day I’ve been able to feel it while I’ve been sitting up. I went from being able to feel it a couple of times to the baby now using my uterus like a trampoline. Also I may be onto a breakthrough for my migraines. I ate Violet Crumbles yesterday and took 2 panadol and felt better almost immediately! Cure by chocolate – now that’s what I call medicine.
